Heat transfer in a double pipe heat exchanger

 

The object of this experiment is:-

 

         1. To determine the overall heat transfer coeffcient making use of logarithmic mean temperature difference. From overall heat transfer coeffcient, determine the individual film heat transfer coefficient and verify the Seider-Tate equation for laminar flow heat transfer.

         2. To determine the overall heat transfer coeffcient making use of logarithmic mean temperature difference. From overall heat transfer coeffcient, determine the individual film heat transfer coeffcients and verify the Dittus-Boelter equation for turbulent flow heat transfer.
